After all this months of waiting for my Ankle fracture recovery, Ami Ball 3D is finally on the AppStore and it’s FREE.

I am home after 5 days in hospital.
On 21st i was doing a photo shoots for my friends of Ash Alvez (go to Ash FaceBook site here). Sadly i broken my left ankle, to be specific i have a Bimalleolar fracture : the medial Malleolus and posterior margin are broken. I had to have surgery to place 4 rods.
Actualy i have my ankle in plaster for 6 weeks and i must not use this leg at all, Which means i must stand up on my right leg only. As you can imagine this is a real problem to move in the house. On top of it i must have my left leg always staying upwards to not have to much blood stay in this leg.
I must really stay cool. I was ready to submit my first app to Apple, and all this means that it will not be possible for a long time (i just let you imagine that i can’t cook for myself, doing my dailly body cleaning is a real pain and take way way too much time
). Actualy i can’t stand more than 10 or 20 minutes in front of my computer before it start to cause me pain.

Today is a great day as DeLoading Website and Blog is now online.
Not a lot to see but that’s a good starting point. Our first entertainment title is already featured in our pages. Even if it is not availlable in the AppStore.
In fact, Apple wants dev to have pages about a game online before submitting the app. That was a big suprise for me as i was ready to submit when i read this. So instead of making the website while waiting for app aproval. I was in need of a new website before having an app approved... So another delay befor releasing my first app.
That was quite frustrating as you can imagine. But hey, it’s just a little delay... Stay tuned for availability of Ami Ball 3D.
I think that the website is quite good. Even if i really feel that a website for each release would be better. That’s certainly for a futur update... For now, i hope you will enjoy all the work that had been put into DeLoading.com.

Slowly recovering

I really fell better now.
My ankle is always in plaster but pain is really much less. I had learned to move more freely by myself and i now can stay more or less an hour in front of the computer.
Of course it’s not enough to work but suficient to stay up to date with AppStore and Dev news.
I hope that when the plaster is removed i will be able to work and send my first app to Apple.
More news after plaster removal.

Plaster removed

The plaster around my ankle had been removed. And contrary to my belief, i am know in a less better shape than before.
My now free ankle is causing me a lot of discomfort. Much more than in the past two weeks. My hope to release the app soon is now gone. I will have to wait more before being able to do it. I am sad as i will miss the end of year sales that seams to be really high according to ather iPhone and iPod touch devs from last year...
I will keep you update of my recovery process.

The title say it all
I am always in recovery mode from my broken ankle.
Hopefully i am able to see my familly, eat good food and have good laugh with them.
I am always not walking by myself and can’t drive my car which is driving me made. I can’t even walk into any bus as « climbing » to enter into them is not possible at this time.

I am Free (more or less )
As i can take the bus, i really feel better. But it is really time consuming for me. I hope i will be able to drive my car soon.
It take me two to three hours to go to my physiotherapist and come back to home. And this 2 or 3 times a week.
As you can imagine it’s not possible to do any usefull work at this time.
My days are : keep myself clean which is really time consuming (hope i will be able to take a shower soon). Do my physiotherapy homework when i don’t go to my physiotherapist, cooking, eating, sleep and now repeat for the next day. It’s really impossible to imagine how little things that we usualy do really fast are time consuming when we loose some abilities.

That’s it.
As the title says i am now able to drive my car. I am not able to go very far as it become rapidely painfull. But now i had recovered my freedom.
My ankle feels really better and i think that Ami Ball 3D will be released soon

New Games for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad Soon

As my doctor has now officialy ended my mandatory « sickness absence » from work about my ankle fracture. I am now able to sell apps on the AppStore.
My paid contract had been send to Apple. And i Am now waiting for Apple green light. Hope it will be soon.
Ami Ball 3D had been very well recieved as this app is now reaching 14.000 downloads. I am really happy with this number as i was only interested in the process of publishing to the AppStore and not much. And the number of users that might had been interested in this app seemed to me to be very low. « Selling » only 10 to 15 a day would have been cool enough for me. But Ami Ball 3D is being downloaded a lot more than that.
Ami Ball 3D even reached the top 10 in 1 country, top 25 in 3 countries, top 50 in 5 contries and top 100 in 17 countries in the entertainment category!!! it’s amazing for a software only interesting for people who had a Commodre Amiga computer back in the 80’s. Sadly, Ami Ball 3D did not reach top 100 in the US. Of course the Amiga never sold so much in the US as in Europe, so i think it explains the difference.
Thank you all who downloaded Ami Ball 3D and spread the word about this app, it’s FREE.

Ami Ball 3D is in the AppStore for several days now.
My planed online marketing was not executed as intended because of my ankle fracture.
So i am only now releasing the Ami Ball 3D Boing Ball video for iPhone and iPod touch on YouTube.
My ankle is better and better. But a lot of months will pass to recover a normal feeling about it i Think.
I am now waiting for my doctor to end my official « sickness absence » from work. As otherwise i will not be legelly able to sell my non free apps
